WWF International

WWF Nature Pays is an initiative from WWF International which seeks to improve the impact of Community Conservation Enterprises for people and nature. Ethicore worked with WWF International on strategic priorities for Nature Pays and worked with the Director to develop priority concepts and partnerships which led us to create a fundraising resource for Nature Pays.

The markets team at WWF International commissioned Ethicore to work with experts across the WWF network and its Stakeholders, to develop the markets approach for the South of Kenya, North of Tanzania (SOKNOT) landscape. We conducted literature reviews and stakeholder interviews to understand the priorities of the countries, practices (e.g. water, forests) and communities to enable wildlife and communities to thrive across this important landscape. The output was a proposed approach to identify markets based approaches that will work for people and wildlife.

“I have worked with Rachael and the Ethicore team for a number of years during my time at Oxfam and now at WWF. She has helped elevate the impact of all the partnerships we have working on together through understanding the objectives of all entities involved, actively listening, using external insight and taking a dynamic and adaptive approach. I would highly recommend Rachael and her team if you are considering brokering partnerships that focus on truly transformative change to not only the sector but also to take a truly holistic approach to sustainable development.”
