Habitat for Humanity were seeking to build on their unique position in the CEE /CIS region (Central Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States), leveraging their housing expertise for collaborative impact. We supported the organisation in the development of a five-year strategy and positioning as a systems change partner to accelerate housing systems change in the region.
We reviewed program performance and potential and engaged internal and external stakeholders across the region in a participatory process, facilitating the development of a strategy and implementation plan for increased scale and influence with global/EU and regional partners and funders. The output was a strategy to accelerate systems solutions for affordable, sustainable and inclusive housing in CEE/CIS region.
“Ethicore facilitated the development of a 5-year strategy for our work & presence in the region of CEE/CIS. We are a global network that consists of many internal parts, diverse skillsets, professional experiences, cultural upbringings…. Yet, when it comes to our commitment to making affordable housing a human right and not just a privilege – we are all on the same wavelength. During the nine-month process of strategy development, Ethicore helped us go through an internal dialogue on who we are today, and who we commit to be five years from now. This happened in the era of COVID, when we all had limited interaction occasions – thanks to Ethicore’s skills and tenacity we were all able to converse and hear each other as if we were in the same room! And finally – people who we worked with at Ethicore are very talented, meticulous in their work, also a lot of fun to work with!”
